How does Sipfront work?

Sipfront is a Telco testing service for establishing SIP call scenarios towards your VoIP systems. We built a powerful cloud infrastructure allowing you to launch thousands of SIP requests per second and hundreds of thousands of simultaneous calls. Sipfront is compatible to the widely adopted sipp test tool, and you can in fact import your custom sipp scenario files. Sipfront however abstracts the overall complexity of sipp, the segmentation and scaling of multiple instances, its command line arguments and its metrics reporting, and presents you a real-time web interface to manage your test sessions.

How can I first test Sipfront?

The ideal plan for testing our service is the Flex plan. You get 30 free performance test minutes per month for the duration of 3 months. After the trial period ends, you pay for what you use. Flex is providing you the following features:

  • 5 days of log and report retention to troubleshoot issues.
  • Access to a comprehensive set of pre-defined call scenarios.
  • Real-time statistics of your signaling performance.
How is my account billed?

On signup, you will only be billed for the prorated amount of your selected plan for the current month. After that, your monthly plan cost and any extra calls you used will be billed at the start of each month for the previous month. When you cancel your account, the remaining balance will be charged before the account is closed.

Why can I only send RTP traffic in the Pro/Enterprise plan?

RTP streams are generating a lot of network traffic and require heavy processing power. Therefore, media handling is only provided in the high tier plans.

How is my telco system protected from being DoS'ed by Sipfront?

Each new SIP domain and outbound proxy must be validated via a verification account or a DNS TXT record prior to be able to launch a test against it, for us to validate the system is under your control.

How can I upgrade my account?

You can switch to a different plan at any time in your account settings.
