Our story
Sipfront was founded by people who built the voice industry’s core infrastructure. Andreas Granig has designed, built, and operated voice platforms since 2000. He serves on the management board of Kamailio, the most widely deployed open-source SIP proxy, which powers the signaling behind much of today’s UCaaS, CCaaS, and Voice AI platforms.
Together with Daniel Tiefnig, Andreas co-founded Sipwise — later acquired by Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise — where the team created rtpengine, the open-source media engine that now carries real-time audio for many of the world’s leading communication and Voice AI platforms. Along the way, Andreas became a regular keynote speaker at open-source telecom and RTC conferences.
Building and operating those platforms meant testing voice largely by hand — and often not being able to test or monitor it adequately at all. In 2020, drawing on that experience, the team founded Sipfront to close the gap: an independent layer of automated testing and monitoring on real calls across real networks, so operators can move fast and still deliver top quality.
Since then, Sipfront has grown into a SaaS platform that operators and product teams use to simulate traffic, catch regressions early, and keep Voice AI and enterprise communications reliable at scale.
